Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 27, 2026
Last Updated: March 27, 2026
YeeHaul ("we," "us," "our") operates the dumpster rental marketplace at yeehaul.app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@yeehaul.app.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information. When you create an account or claim a hauler listing, we collect your name, email address, and phone number.
- Business information. Haulers who claim a listing provide business details including company name, service area, pricing, container inventory, and waste stream offerings.
- Booking information. When you book a dumpster rental, we collect delivery address, project details, scheduling preferences, and any notes for the hauler.
- Payment information. Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or other financial account details on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.
- Communications. When you contact us or communicate through the platform, we keep those records.
Information We Collect Automatically
- Usage data. Pages visited, features used, search queries, clicks, and time spent on pages.
- Device and browser data. IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, and screen resolution.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and analytics tools to understand how the site is used and to improve the experience. See Section 9 for details.
Information From Third Parties
- Google Places. We use publicly available business data from Google to populate hauler directory listings.
- Clerk. Our authentication provider processes your sign-in credentials. Clerk's privacy policy governs their handling of authentication data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate the marketplace. Match customers with haulers, process bookings, and facilitate communication between parties.
- Send notifications. Delivery updates, booking confirmations, pickup reminders, and account alerts via email and SMS. See Section 5 for SMS details.
- Improve the platform. Analyze usage patterns, fix issues, and build features that make the experience better.
- Communicate with you. Respond to inquiries, send service updates, and share important account information.
- Maintain safety and security. Detect fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the platform and its users.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With haulers and customers. When you book a dumpster, the hauler receives your delivery details and contact information. When a customer submits a quote request, you receive their project details and contact information.
- With service providers. We use third-party services to operate the platform: Stripe for payment processing, Clerk for authentication, Knock for notification delivery (email and SMS orchestration), Twilio for SMS messaging and voice services, Vercel for hosting and analytics, and Neon for database hosting.
- When required by law. We may disclose information in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of YeeHaul, our users, or the public.
- In a business transfer. If YeeHaul is acquired, merged, or sells assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Mobile Phone Information
We will never share, sell, or distribute your mobile phone number or any mobile-related information to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Your phone number is used solely for platform operations: account verification, booking notifications, delivery updates, and service communications. It is never sold, rented, or provided to outside parties for advertising or promotional use.
5. SMS Communications
What Messages We Send
YeeHaul sends SMS messages to two groups:
To haulers:
- Lead notifications when a customer submits a quote request
- Booking updates when a customer books a dumpster
- Account alerts related to listing status or platform updates
To customers:
- Delivery notifications when a dumpster is scheduled or on its way
- Pickup reminders before a scheduled pickup
- Rental updates related to active bookings
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on account activity. Haulers who receive more quote requests will receive more lead notifications. Customers will receive messages tied to their active bookings.
Opting Out
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from YeeHaul. After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and no further SMS messages from that number.
For help with SMS, reply HELP to any message or email hello@yeehaul.app.
Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.
Consent
You opt in to SMS communications through the platform — either during the hauler claim process or during checkout. SMS consent is not a condition of purchasing any service or claiming a listing on YeeHaul.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, financial transaction records).
Hauler directory listings that are based on publicly available business data (from Google Places and similar sources) may remain on the platform after account deletion, as this information is public in nature.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Delete your account and associated personal information.
- Opt out of SMS communications at any time (reply STOP).
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any email.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@yeehaul.app. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication through Clerk, and database encryption at rest through Neon. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep you signed in across sessions.
- Remember your preferences such as search location.
- Understand usage patterns to improve the platform.
We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate site performance data. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or behavioral tracking across other websites.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some features of the platform.
10. Children's Privacy
YeeHaul is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us at hello@yeehaul.app and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the platform.
Your continued use of YeeHaul after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
